The days fly by me, and here we are at the end of January - where does it go?
Sometimes we just need a little stop motion button.
Our weekend was just that: nestled into mounds of quiet snow (neko actually said, upon walking in the house, wow, ima, it’s nice and quiet in the country), the three of us shrouded in love.
Sometimes you gotta stop and appreciate everything you have.
Here’s to another crazy week!

The photos you are about to see are like bootleg beer during the prohibition.
Miss Rina is strict and allows no distraction (yes, we are hoping this helps with the whole ‘neko, why do you never listen thing we got going) and no photos taken of the girls while practicing their gentle steps are allowed.
Rhonda sneaked in some zoomed pics, and although I’m more partial to crisp in focus shots, I am lovin’ the Degas-esqueness of these:
Next on our agenda: getting neko to actually talk about ballet rather than answer her default ‘not fun’ and nothing’ when we ask excitedly, how was ballet, what did you do, was it fun?

This year is looking like snow central.
It’s nice, for about 45 minutes, or until you have to go to out and maneuver the ten foot wide and deep (yeah, like a cube of black ice) black snow slush puddles.
Accord held our breath away: endless stretches of sparkling white virgin snow.
All there for neko to explore and eat:
(Even the hibernating hedgehog in me was happy!)

I think I may convert - or at least get some Christmas shaped cookie cutters and small Hanukkah bush!
Christmas at the Pollock’s Bear Creek Farm in Bruin Pennsylvania (that’s far) was an instant hit with neko.
Not only did she get her own stocking, but got gifts from people she doesn’t know (we are still hiding some from her):
Savta Karen (Bulan’s grandma) saved some cookie dough for the kids, and set up perfect photo op moments:
Neko made friends fast with the various Pollock nieces and cousins, running after Jason, proclaiming him as her new friend, and staring in worship mode at Phoebe (she’s 6 - that’s apparently uber cool) and even waited outside the bathroom for her:
The Farm (more like a giant comfortable B&B) is surrounded by beautiful sloping woods, ideal for sled riding and hikes dedicated to searching for Bambi (neko’s excuse for making us climb upĀ 2 miles in snow):
Neko actually told me on the morning we were due to leave (see past blizzard post) that she loved savta karen so much and please, ima, please don’t take me away from here…..
Pollock Family thank you for your amazing hospitality and generosity. What an honor it was to share Christmas with a wonderful truly loving family (and refreshing)!
