Island Fever

This weekend was all about being brave and having new experiences.

All thanks to the Epstein (and Spitalnik) family.  Our gracious hosts and family invited us to frolic in the sun and splash in the waters of Fire Island.

I got over some major neuroses and let go (as much as any anxious over protective Jewish mother can) and allowed neko to suck on a pacifier that fell in the SAND, go sailing, get handed off to her uncle in deep (five foot maybe) water to go to the sand bar (was the coolest experience ever), jump around in the ice cold Atlantic Ocean (we are used to our piss water temperature Mediterranean) and get lathered with sun tan lotion.

She got to play with her cousin Dylan (she was dying to touch him and he mostly ignored her - the story of men and women begins early), and sleep in a new room.  I got to tan, taste grandma ruth’s secret chicken and sleep in (until 7:15).  Most importantly, we got some major quality time with family.

THANK YOU FOR A SUPER FABULOUS AMAZiNG WEEKEND!

If you ever wondered what it would look like to put a sausage inside another sausage then check out the PFD photos (personal flotation device).
